Liam O’Mahony is a public relations and marketing communications director in Western New York with more than 15 years of experience in public relations and marketing communications.
He has worked as a communications manager in a variety of sectors, including professional sports, agency, local government, higher education and corporate, in Chicago, Seattle, Phoenix and Buffalo.
Prior to returning to Western New York in 2012, he was a marketing manager with the City of Chandler’s (Arizona) Community Services Department. He led the traditional and digital marketing for a variety of facilities, programs and special events for the city and its partnerships with local companies and non-profit agencies.
He received a bachelor of science in communication from Cornell University and earned an M.B.A. with a marketing emphasis from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University.
He holds the Accredited Business Communicator (ABC) certification from the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) and Accredited Public Relations (APR) certification from the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).
He enjoys writing, running 5K races, playing basketball, tennis and golf, and traveling to Nantucket, Ireland and Ithaca.
